Default A little help here

Okay, since the search button is down, I'm in a bit of a squeeze(...my lemon). I need a THK ranger/mo/w/me build so I can finish it and start working on RoF missions and hopfully farm a little in the near future. I have done both 15 point quests, so I can do any stats needed, I have the green Elth's recurve bow(vamp, 15^50% health+30) and a Poisoners Shadow Bow of Defence(max req. 8, psn duration longer 33%, 14%^50%, armor +5vs all) so any help would be appreicated.

also, as a note, if any elite skills are in your setup, please tell where they can be capped at, because I only have escape+barrage as of now on my ranger, sadly.
thanks

Well there was the one thread at the bottom of the page here.

To summarize it the general feel is that you should be specializing as of now. I like to go as a trapper/status dealer for in battle trapping and not so much the slow "pull trap" that a lot of groups don't have the patience for. Check the build sections to see if one of them suits you best. One thing you could do, based off my own build, would be:

R/Mo
Apply Poison
Interrupting Shot
Barbed Trap
Dust Trap
Flame Trap
Escape (E)
Troll Unguent
Rebirth

I generally stay away from flame trap unless I have the room as it doesn't provide the affect I'm looking for. Though I replace Escape with Oath Shot when the time comes and change out fire for whirling. On a side note, whirling rarely blocks for me because I have terrible luck.

a simple Barrage {E} build setup should be fine...

Marks : 16 (12+3+1)
Exp : 9 (8+1)
XXX : 10

(XXX = either Smiting for JI or an Ele line for Conjure)

- Barrage {E}
- Dual Shot
- Savage Shot
- XXX skill
- Antidote Sig
- Whirling D
- Fav. Winds
- Rebirth

thanks guys, but I actually got a good group and we did it ourselves, I used:
Barrage
savage shot
distracting shot
dust trap
flame trap
troll
whirling def
rez sig

didn't have to use rez sig a bit, it was fun and relitively easy, but thanks for the help anyway

Escape? Have you played end-game Tyria recently? Wild Blow > Escape
Barrage? Have you played end-game Tyria recently either? The enemies come in groups of 2-3 max, barrage hits more than 1 target once every blue moon. The only benefit is that you always do decent damage to stupidly high AL mursaat bosses.
Apply Poison? Ok you get the idea... Jades are immune to bleeding and poison, that cuts the skills use in half already.

Punishing Shot (E)
Distracting Shot
Savage Shot
Penetrating Shot/Marauders Shot
Kindle Arrows
Troll Unguent
Barbed Trap (for THK) otherwise pick n choose
Res

15 Marks 12 Wilderness 9 Expertise

Punishing Shot is in Snake Dance, Tundra Giant boss.

Maybe i just like interrupting things (well i do, its hardly a secret) but been able to take Mursaat Elementalists completely out the equation, reduce Mursaat Necromancers to very little and possibly keep Mursaat Mesmers quiet for a bit is never a bad thing. Plus Penetrating/Punishing is good for using on Jade Warriors and can usually interrupt Wild Blow if you time it well.

The other method would be to take an Assassin and let them kill all the casters (end-game tyria is so much fun with AoD)
